This Bronze medal winner at the World Cheese Awards 2018 is a semi-hard, cheese, usually present in every Venezuelan home. It's quite popular, given its delicious, salty flavour and versatility to fit perfectly with many different meals. It is eaten like a compliment and unusually shredded to add character to the arepa, beans, meats, patacones and the famous Venezuelan Pabellon. The mixture of this cheese makes a lovely and unique explosion of characters to the palate. Additionally, it may be sliced and eaten as an appetiser in addition to ham, olives and wine. The Fresh cheese Venezuelan style has a close body and squeak when fresh and is creamy when is a bit old.
Ingredients: Pasteurized milk, salt, rennet. Special Care: Keep refrigerated below 4 C Allergens: Milk
Net weight: Approx. 200 Gr in vacuum seal packs, (Also available in 400,600,1Kg)
All cheeses will be packed and dispatched in chilly bins with ice gel to keep freshness thus, handling fees will apply. To avoid these fees cheeses may also be picked up at the factory.
